Web Internship for KXAN.com and TheCWAustin.com - Copywriter

We are looking for some great interns to join our Web team!

You'll be right in the middle of the action, interacting with reporters, anchors and producers, and helping to provide content for KXAN.com and TheCWAustin.com. Tasks would include editing copy, posting video, keeping an eye on wires, creating online photo galleries and much more. Beyond that, you'll have a chance to contribute your ideas to better Austin's most popular broadcast TV Web site.

Knowledge of AP style is a must. Candidates will be required to take a copy-editing test.

You must be registered in an internship class and receive credit during the semester you intern. This internship is not a paid position, and you must be available to work 15 or more hours per week. Spring, summer and fall internships are available.

Web Internship for KXAN.com and The CWAustin.com - Technical

KXAN.com and The CWAustin.com is currently seeking interns for the Fall Semester. You would be working side by side with the Webmaster, web designer and Director of New Media maintaining the two websites. Your creativity would have a chance to shine in this position.

Interested candidates should have a comfortable working knowledge of some or all of the following: HTML, CSS, XML, Java Script, PHP, MySQL, Photoshop, Fireworks and/or Flash. Knowledge of Wordpress, Twitter and other social media sites is preferred.

KXAN Austin News & The CW Austin Sales Internships
KXAN Austin News & The CW Austin are seeking Sales interns.

The position will serve as integral part of our sales staff. Responsibilities include assisting with and developing sales pieces, client presentations, competitive market research, and Web-based sales initiatives and program monitoring.  

It is mandatory that candidates be proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word. You must be registered in an internship class and receive credit hours in compliance with the program you register through during the semester you intern. The internship is an unpaid position. To fully benefit from the experience, you should be available to work a minimum of 12 hours per week.

KXAN/KNVA Marketing & Creative Services Internships
KXAN and the CW Austin want you to be part of our creative team!  As an intern, you'll learn copywriting for television, print and web, basic AVID editing, event planning, contest management, and commercial production basics.  Plus you'll get to be part of the "heartbeat" of the stations, working on community service efforts that make a difference in Austin and Central Texas.  This is a true "hands-on" opportunity to get the experience you need to succeed!

KXAN/KNVA Graphics Intern
If you've ever wondered how to create the eye candy you see on television & the web, come learn about broadcast design from KXAN Television and The CW Austin. Learn how to create dynamic graphics for television, the web and print. Assist art director and designers with news and promotional graphics.

A student with a knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a must. Students with a background in graphic design or art are preferred.
