Solar Blinds may help heating costs

AUSTIN (KXAN) - With the often high costs of winter heating, solar blinds may provide some financial relief.

The blinds use the heat of the sun to naturally heat the home at a lower cost than that of solar panels.

To work effectively, they hang in a south-facing window where they build up hot air that circulates throughout the building.

Solar blinds should lower the need for other forms of heating and do so in an environmentally positive way.
