Here at First Warning Weather and KXAN Austin News, we love to show you what the weather is doing where you live in a unique segment we're calling ... Weather Where You Live.

And we think you are uniquely qualified to help us!

Send us photos of your neighorhood, your favorite building, your park, your pool, your Main Street - anything you think would reflect on the place you call home.

Send them here.

If they work within our guidelines, we'll use them on the air! For examples, see the photos attached to this story.

You can also look at our Flickr stream for some more shots. Your photos will go into this set, as well as on air, if we choose them.

Here's what we look for in Weather Where You Live pictures:

1) Include your name, the time and date, and exactly where the picture was taken

2) Horizontal orientation - no vertical pictures, only horizontal

3) The bottom third of the frame must be completely filled in - no spaces or openings along the bottom of the picture

4) The top two thirds (ideally) must be sky.

5) No tree lines, power lines, flagpoles, etc., along the border between the ground and the sky. If there are trees, you must not be able to see through them. But ideally, the lines will be clean.

6) The photo must be well-lit and in focus.

7) The photo must be taken within our coverage area.

If you have any questions, please send them to the email above. Thanks, and happy shooting!
