Travis County officials identify body found as Steiner Ranch shooter

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Travis County officials have indentified the body found Saturday as Steiner Ranch shooter Brian Beck.

The shooting happened last Monday at the Steiner Ranch Steakhouse. Witnesses say 27 year old Beck went into the restaurant, walked right up to the manager Chris Martin and shot him several times with a semi-automatic handgun, killing him.

Beck's was last seen last seen bailing out of this White Chevy Blazer on Bullock Hollow Road, about a mile from where the shooting happened.

Crews had been searching the area since the shooting.
