Bobby and Chris take New York

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin's DJ from KISS-FM -- Bobby Bones -- hits the Big Apple on Tuesday, along with KXAN's Austin News Today Anchor Chris Willis in preparation for Bones' appearance as a co-host with Kelly Ripa on NBC's " LIVE! with Regis & Kelly " show.

Bones takes the seat next to Ripa on Wed., Jan 26.

Here's what's happening on Wed. Jan. 26:

• 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. Chris will be live from the set of Live
• 9 a.m. Live with Regis and Kelly airs on KXAN
• 5 p.m. Chris will file a report on the adventure

Bones got enough votes from fans near and far to push him from the Top 10 list to the short list of five disc jockeys who get to take Philbin's place one day each this week.

Willis and photojournalist Thomas Costley will be shadowing KISS FM DJ Bobby Bones on his journey to co-host Live with Regis and Kelly!

Between the three of them, photos, videos, stories and tweets will tell of their antics while on the East Coast, to be shown on KXAN and here on www.kxan.com .
