People without jobs still have hope

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Amplify Credit Union is attracting those out-of-work with free workshops open to the public. The workshops are taught by local job recruiters, human resource specialists and other professionals.

The idea is to provide important, local, and community-based help. The classes cover a wide variety of topics to help people get pro-active and take the next steps during this transition period.

"It's all sorts of advice from how to make a resume more attractive to what search engines to use, to how to make your Internet presence more effective, on the Internet," said Dan Dillard, CFP Financial Planner.

The very last class is this Monday, March 16 and requires people to RSVP. You can RSVP online.
