McCall files to run for Texas Speaker

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Brian McCall (R-Plano) has filed the paperwork necessary to run for Texas Speaker of the House. At least 11 Republican lawmakers will meet at an undisclosed location in Austin to chose a speaker candidate to replace House Speaker Tom Craddick.

With this filing, it seems that McCall will be eligible to be the choice of this group, calling themselves the Anything-But-Craddick Republicans.
