AUSTIN (KXAN) - There's a new workout in town, and those who are taking it claim it will work every muscle in your body.

" Pure Barre is a 55-minute workout," said Rashanna Moss-Lowry, Pure Barre Austin owner. "It's a total body workout that's designed to lift your seat, tone your thighs, as well as burn fat off your body in record-breaking time."

It's a new workout for Austinites to get into shape.

"It's an athletic approach to like ballet, dance, yoga and pilates - all fused together but very effective for women," said Moss-Lowry.

Moss-Lowry opened the business after getting laid off from a job with Nike. She moved to Austin and found a workout that no one is teaching in the area.

The class works by having you use a ball, weights and the barre.

"We use the barre in order to brace yourself in positions you normally wouldn't be able to if you were just standing," said Moss-Lowry.

And even though the class has only been around a week, it already has some big fans.

"This is my third day, and it hurts to sneeze or close the car door. So yeah, it's working," said Tina McMillin, a barre participant.

Pure Barre is located in Westlake.
