AUSTIN (KXAN) - Dr. John Villacis, allergist and immunologist from the Austin Diagnostic Clinic, talks with KXAN News Today on the problems faced by allergy sufferers.

Central Texas has three seasons with a different allergy most prominent.
Sometimes medicine and preventative measures aren't enough and patients develop bigger problems like chronic sinus infections and asthma.
Kids starting school. surrounded by high pollen counts and sometimes upper respiratory infections are at high risk for asthma.
Following cold fronts it's common for Dr. Villacis to see allergy spikes as ragweed comes in from the hill country. He cautions allergy sufferers to be on alert with changing weather patterns.
