Horse with West Nile pops up in Burnet

BURNET COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - A new West Nile virus case occurred in Central Texas. The Texas Department of State Health Services reports a horse in Burnet County tested on Nov. 5 came back positive for West Nile. This is the first confirmed case for West Nile virus in Burnet County in 2008.
Travis County has had eleven cases this year, one in a human and 10 confirmed cases in mosquitoes.
