AUSTIN (KXAN) - A variety of new films debut at South by Southwest in the next few days.
"Win, Win" stars Paul Giamati. He volunteers as a wrestling coach at a local high school.
"I actually said 'yes' to the script before I even read it," Giamati said.
Alex Shafer is a real-life wrestler and he got the part as the student in the movie.
It opens nationwide on Friday, March 18.
Another film is about a vampire stars an Austinite, Emily Hagins, 18, and a high school student, in "My Sucky Teen Romance." She's also the film's director. It opens at the Paramount.
Jealously over a guy is a the heart of the movie "Green", also about sustainable farming. It screens at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Alamo.
The movie "Small, Beautifully Moving Parts" is about a pregnant woman who is ambivalent about the baby, but fascinated by the technology that shows the baby. It screens Friday at 9 p.m. at the State Theater.
