Gowalla helps users find their friends
The iPhone and iPad app makes it easy to keep up

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin-based Gowalla lets people check in about their location. It's big at South By Southwest this year, and friends are checking in from all over the city.
Gowalla helps users find the best parties and the best venues for SXSW. The app makes it really easy for people to keep up with where their friends are.
Friends get a notification when someone they know who is using Gowalla checks in so they can meet up.
It also lets users pull up a list of locations, such as restaurants or other event venues, in the nearby area.
It's an application for the iPhone or iPad.
