AUSTIN (KXAN) - Several Hollywood film stars are in town this week for SXSW but one new app managed to put several of them in one place, and the creators say that’s exactly what the social sharing company intends to do.

Actor’s Leonardo DiCaprio , Jared Leto, Kevin Connolly, Lukas Hass and Tobey Maguire joined a crowd attending the launch of Mobli 2.0 at Kenichi in downtown Austin.

Mobli is the leading photo and video sharing application on the Android platform and has seen significant celebrity adoption, providing its users with an intimate connection with otherwise inaccessible personalities such as Lance Armstrong, Leonardo DiCaprio, David Arquette, Ethan Suplee, Andre Berto, Rudy Gay, Jaime King, Stephen Curry, Soleil Moon Frye, Paris Hilton and many others.

Maguire and DiCaprio believe in the company so much that they’ve invested in the new version of the app that many say will appeal to the hipster crowds. DiCaprio has reportedly shelled out nearly $4 million.

“Mobli [is] a brand new site where users can share moments and see the world through other people's eyes, is a real-time, visual social media platform, made up of subject-based channels such as people, places and topics.” a spokesperson for the mobile app company said.

During the event, DiCaprio who came in from a film shoot in New Orleans, munched on sushi while he spoke with the Mobli team.

Maguire posed for photos with fans. During the event Tobey shared his first social media post ever with the app.
