'Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey' debuts

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Kevin Clash got the idea to make his first puppet from the fur lining in his father's trench coat.
"I thought, wow, that would make a great monkey," he said.
Now he's the man behind the puppet "Elmo."
The film "Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey" debuted Saturday at South By Southwest at the Paramount Theater.
"I got to see a band walking down the street yesterday," said Elmo. "And we saw clowns. That was really scary!"
