Pet of the Week: Perez

No matter the weather it's always a great day to the Town Lake Animal Center. Every week we show you a loving friend who is ready to be adopted. Adette Stark is here with our pet of the week.

Meet Perez. Animal ID A588579. Kennel #53. He is a hound mix. He weighs 40lbs. He is 8 years old. Perez is a volunteer favorite so I thought he would be a great pet of the week. ☺ He has been at the shelter since 11/10/10. He has great manners. He's super on a leash. One of the staff members had him in their office for awhile and reported that he was awesome. He also knows basic commands, including 'down'. He isn’t distracted by other dogs. Great guy!!
I thought this might be a great opportunity to talk about the gift of adopting senior pets.
