XUYI, China (CNN/CCTV) - Strangers came to the aid of a man in East China's Jiangsu Province when the wind blew 20,000 yuan out of his hands.

The middle school teacher withdrew the money, equal to about $3,200 from an ATM. Many passersby helped pick up the money. Then, they gave it back.

The man pasted a letter on the wall of the bank to thank those who helped him.
