MT. ETNA, Italy (NBC/EBU) - Italy's Mount Etna erupted early Tuesday morning.

The images were captured by a cameraman for Italy's Rai Network.

The eruption ended after a few hours but not before the cameraman got some great shots.

Operations at the local airport weren't affected by the brief, but strong, volcanic event.
