DANA POINT, Calif. (NBC) - A gray whale on its annual migration from Alaska to Baja California took a little time to enjoy the journey.
Video captured during a whale-watching excursion caught the great gray off the coast of Dana Point, Calif. This huge whale was feeling unusually playful and frolicked with some dolphins in a deep-sea dance spectacle.
The whale was seen rolling around and turning on its back, while seemingly playing with the Pacific white-sided dolphins.
The very uncommon behavior was a delight for those passengers on the whale-watching trip.
