AUSTIN (KXAN) - SXSW will host the first-ever ukulele marathon in its history. The Eggmen - Austin's own Beatles tribute band, Ben Kweller and many more will perform while accompanied by the ukulele at SXSW.

"I'm ecstatic over bringing the festival to Austin during South by Southwest," said festival producer Roger Greenawalt. "The sheer number of artists that converge on the capital city provides a perfect opportunity to enlist an eclectic group of musicians to knock out the entire Beatles catalog."

The Beatles catalog consists of 185 songs. To find out more about The Beatles Complete on Ukulele Festival, as well as hear examples of the songs, listen here on their blog.

The Beatles Complete on Ukulele Festival will take place on March 17 and 18 from noon until 6 p.m. on the patio at Jaime's Spanish Village on Red River Street. Admission is completely free, but donations are welcomed. Donations will be presented to EMI Music. The past two recipients of the money were Warren Buffett and Yoko Ono.
