Help local musicians and "join the band"

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin's SIMS foundation will host an event at Antone's where you can "party with the band!" The $10 cover will go toward the organization and entrance is free for those who join the "I'm With the Band" campaign.

The SIMS mission is to provide access to and financial support for mental health and addiction recovery services for Austin-area musicians and their families.

SIMS serves 600 musicians and receives discounted services from 60 local providers. The organization depends on private donations to make up the rest of the cost.

The event at Antone's will feature two local bands, Hot Club of Cowtown and Los Bad Apples.
