AUSTIN (KXAN) - Chef John Pennington from Winflo Osteria has Italian dish fettuccine al pesto for Tasty Thursday!

Ingredients

  • 4 oz fresh fettuccini pasta precooked
  • 1 oz fresh green beans
  • 1 oz toasted walnut pieces
  • 2 oz crimini mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons basil pesto
  • 1 tablespoons butter
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Romano cheese for garnish

Directions

  1. Cook toasted walnuts, fresh green beans, mushrooms, butter and garlic for 2 minutes until flavors combine and butter is melted.
  2. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, cooked pasta, and basil pesto to pan and cook for another minute or two until pesto turns creamy.
  3. Place pasta in bowl and top with Romano cheese.
