AUSTIN (KXAN) - Get ready for a huge party in Downtown Austin, which will shut down Second Street between Guadalupe and San Antonio streets for the Cinco de Mayo Block Party.

Chef Rick Lopez from La Condesa is helping prepare the menu of Mexican "street food" for the event. He joined KXAN News at Noon to cook up cochinita tacos.

Last year the block party had more than 5,000 people.

The Cinco de Mayo Block Party kicks off at 4 p.m. on Saturday and runs through 10 p.m., and there will be plenty of live music.
