Beijing Taxi to premiere at SXSW

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Director Miao Wang, a Beijing native, discusses her film, Beijing Taxi , and the changes she witnessed in her hometown leading up to the 2008 Olympics.

With clear foresight, Wang knew her city would need to modernize to host the Olympic games and documented the process over three years.

From the perspective of a taxi driver, Wang shows the change in Beijing's cityscape and mentality, giving the modernization an on-ground perspective.

Beijing Taxi will premiere March 15 at 2:30 P.M. with extra showings on the following Tuesday and Friday.
