AUSTIN (KXAN) - Haircutting specialist Joe Edwards’ top hair care tip for the summer is simple... moisturizing. Edwards says "It’s important because of the elements in town. It's very dry right now." Edwards suggests using deep conditioner and hair masks to keep hair moisturized and healthy after being under the sun.
To stay cool in the 100-degree temperatures, hairstylist Jon D says to just try a short hairdo. "I like functionality with a lot of splash and pizzazz," says Jon D. If going short isn’t your thing, Jon D suggests "aerating" long hair to release some of the weight.

doing is that there’s a lot of long hair without a lot of
layers and then putting it up in braids and twisties. I think
