SXSWedu kicks off on Monday

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Ron Reed, executive producer of SXSWedu, was in studio to discuss the kickoff to SXSW on Monday.

SXSWedu is an education-centric event that is now in its third year. The event doubled in attendance between the first and second year. Expectations are between 4,000 and 5,000 will attend the event.

This year's event will include Future Plans: College and Career Fai r, a free event to empower students and their parents with fresh information about college and careers.
