Small dogs need coats for the cold

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Unusually cold temperatures hit homeless dogs in a big way, and the Town Lake Animal Center has a call out to the public, asking for donations of doggie coats and sweaters.

TLAC is in need of small-dog sizes, and donated items can be gently used or new.

Anyone wishing to help protect the pets from the cold can drop off donations at TLAC, 1156 W. Cesar Chavez St., in the donation bings in front of Building C.
