AUSTIN (KXAN) - Devo from Austin Pets Alive! is KXAN's Pet of the Week.

Devo, currently in foster care, is a 3-year-old Catahoula Leopard dog mix.

Here is some information from the APA website:

Young, good looking svelte man seeking young, good looking family to call his own!

I used to have a family and I was very loved. Sadly, we lost our home and I had to go to the scary shelter. I had a really tough time adjusting and I was so sad that I just cried all the time. Then I met APA! They are so loving and so caring and they made me see I was going to be okay and they are helping me learn to trust again.

I now am able to meet new people happily again; I go to play group twice a day and run and play with no problems. I go to the staff office where little baby puppies are eating out of silly little bottles and I love them so much. I lick them non-stop and I help make sure they are always very clean! I don't care so much for the kitties and they don't like me since I like to chase them so let's not have any kitties okay?

I have recently met a couple of super small humans that some have told me are children. I was not bothered by them, even though they are so hyper and keep putting toys in my face.

I'm learning all sorts of new and good ways to behave in my foster home...like how to wait patiently to go out of my kennel, to go on a walk and even for my food. I'm also respectful of the food that doesn't belong to me, and I even go to bed at night in my kennel without being asked.

My ideal family will be an active couple that want to take me on long walks and spend lots of time just loving on me! I have a beautiful coat and I always look very fancy with my built-in white scarf! Let's do lunch soon please!
