Pet of the Week: meet Travis

AUSTIN (KXAN) - This week's pet of the week is a lab mix named Travis.

Marissa Ladezma, from Town Lake Animal Center, says Travis has been at the shelter for six months.

Travis is about two-years-old and a survivor of distemper, a neurological disease that could have cost him his life. He just needs someone to teach him proper leash behavior Ladezma says.

Ladezma also tells us Travis is a great inside dog that would love to cuddle on your couch.

If your interested in adopting Travis, or another furry friend like him, Town Lake Animal Center is offering dog adoptions the rest of October for only $35.

Normally $75, the fee includes vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and micro chipping.
