CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) - Cedar Park is joining the list of cities that have decided to postpone their Fourth of July  fireworks displays.

The city said it will set an alternative date later. The  other parts of the July 4 celebrations in Milburn Park will go on as planned.

"This collective decision is based on the current drought conditions and the large influx of people we would expect from other cities, as most other area fireworks displays have been cancelled or postponed," the city said in a statement.
