MACC offers free salsa class

Learn new dance moves at cultural center

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Salsa instructor Raul Ramirez was in studio to demonstrate some of the salsa steps he teaches at the Emma Barrientos Mexican-American Cultural Center.

Ramirez provided a demonstration with a partner, showing what steps people would learn in his salsa class. Ramirez is a volunteer instructor and has been recognized as the 2012 Volunteer of the Year by the Friends of the MACC’s Annual Dia de la Raza Event.

Classes are held twice a month at the MACC, 600 River Street, and provided free of charge to community participants. Pre-registration is required. Call (512) 974-3785 or visit the MACC website .
