AUSTIN (KXAN) - It's been a week of tragedy for many, but a week of community at the same time.

Thousands of Central Texas residents have come together in many ways to support those whose homes were destroyed by raging flames. Donations of goods and money have flowed to help those replace what has been lost.

Following is a list of benefit events being held to raise additional monies and items for fire victims:

Saturday, Sept. 10

  • Concert and silent auction -- 9:30 p.m. to midnight -- Will Taylor and Strings Attached, Nutty Brown Cafe , 12225 Highway 290 West, Austin
  •  
  • "I (heart) Bastrop" T-shirt sale and supply drive -- University of Texas Senate of College Councils -- UT Co-op on campus
  •  
  • "Welcome Home Party" for Steiner Ranch residents -- H.E.B sponsoring an event in the park near where homes burned -- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  •  
  • Appreciation Event and Fundraiser for Lake Travis Fire and Rescue -- 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. -- Belvedere Amenity Center, 17400 Flagler Drive. For information, contact Todd Smith, 512-402-9800.
  •  
  • Neighbors Helping Neighbors -- KXAN, Salvation Army, Walmart -- 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 11

  • Concert -- Red Shed Tavern, 8504 S. Congress Ave. -- to benefit musicians harmed by the fires

  • 9-11 Tribute and Texas Wildfire Benefit -- 8:30 am. to 4:30 p.m. -- Cabela's , Buda

Tuesday , Sept. 13

  • Concert -- 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. -- Austin's Pizza , 3638 Bee Caves Road, Austin. Call 512-448-4294.
