AUSTIN (KXAN) - President and CEO of Leadership Austin, Heather McKissick joins KXAN News Today.

Classes are offered to those looking to get involved and learn more about the community.

Topics covered reflect concerns of Austin like:

  • homelessness
  • housing
  • transportation
  • education
  • health care

The Essential class starting Friday is already full but the Experience class and Engage Breakfasts are both ways to get involved.

Wednesday, October 10 the Engage Breakfast will be held with KXAN moderating. The town hall style meeting will host national, state and local experts discussing why your ballot cast in Texas matters.
