AUSTIN (KXAN) - The annual film festival will host almost 200 screenings and bring in names like James Franco.
Franco will be in town screening his new documentary, Francophrenia, based on his experience on the soap opera General Hospital.
Other films to be shown include, Flight staring Denzel Washington and Silver Linings Playbook with Bradley Cooper.
And Oscar buzz should be swirling around some of the films coming to town. Much of the focus will be on characters and dialog.
According to Stephen Jannise, the festival's program director, AFF is "supporting screenwriters and people who want to write great scripts."
Nine different locations throughout Austin will play host including the historical Paramount Theatre downtown and IMAX Theatre at the Bob Bullock Museum.
