It's My Park Day project leaders needed

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Tuesday night the city of Austin Parks and Recreation Department will meet with those who want to volunteer as project leaders for the annual "It's My Park Day" event.

The meeting is from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Mexican American Cultural Center Auditorium, located at 600 River St.

In 2011, more than 2,000 volunteers attended 72 projects and contributed more than 7,200 hours of service. Learn more at www.austinparks.org/impd.html . Volunteers should RSVP for the project leader meeting and can also sign up to host an "It's My Park Day" event.
