AUSTIN (KXAN) - Nutritionist Carly Pollack was in the KXAN News studio on Sunday morning to discuss your best ways to navigate the maze of holiday eating, especially at office parties.

Pollack suggests not going into a party hungry. Eat a handful of nuts before the party. Use an appetizer plate. Avoid sugar and alcohol, if you can. If you do drink, pace yourself with a glass of water between drinks.

Pollack also prepared a "next day" smoothie for post-holiday party recoveries.
