AUSTIN (KXAN) - The theatre plans to collect pumpkins from Austinites and display the pumpkins throughout the theater this Halloween.
Anyone who brings one in will get a free pass to the theatre's horror films or Halloween cartoons.
Pumpkins will be accepted through Wednesday, Oct. 31. Organizers hope they will get at least a few hundred pumpkin donations.
Brooklyn Henson from the Paramount Theatre says, "We just want to bring people from Austin down into the historic theatres and let them see the films without having to buy a high price ticket to a show. Just come into a theatre and enjoy a film the way it was meant to be seen and get a little Halloween decor."
This is the first year the event is happening, but they plan to turn it into a tradition.
