AUSTIN (KXAN) - Ana Urukalo was in the KXAN studio on Saturday morning to talk about preparing your feet for running season.

Urukalo, a podiatrist at Austin Diagnostic Clinic, says it's important to ensure you have a running shoe with a proper fit. Make sure you properly measure your foot length, width and arch. Allow extra room at the toe. Look for a secure fit in the mid-sole. Mike sure there is no slipping at the heel. And try different lacing techniques.
