Austin may be known for its hot job market and live music, but one area where Central Texans can always improve is philanthropy. Austin is ranked 48th out of the 50 largest cities in the nation on per capita giving. I Live Here, I Give Here is proud to present the first annual Amplify Austin and connect people with the issues they care about and the nonprofits that support them.
Amplify Austin is a community-wide day of philanthropy with a goal of raising $1 million dollars in a 24-hour period. By logging on to AmplifyATX.org Central Texans will be able to select from over 300 non-profit organizations.
Amplify Austin is looking for key people across the community who will carry their message and model their philanthropy on Amplify Austin's website on giving day. All they have to do is use Amplify Austin's site to fundraise for the nonprofits they are passionate about and promote Amplify Austin in their community.
Austin has 24 hours to crank up the giving between 7pm March 4th and 7pm March 5th.
