ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) - Hundreds of volunteers provided a frozen turkey and all the trimmings for a Christmas meal to needy families Saturday in Round Rock.
The 10th annual Celebration of Love Outreach had people singing the praises of the non-profit group.
Parents were also able to pick up toys from the Marine's and Toys for Tots program to give kids who might go without a gift this year.
More than 27-hundred families in all were helped, a record crowd for the group.
"Its a good crazy, because when you see some many people, come in here, and such a need, and then that our community answers a call, is most important. that's what critical here, is that the community at large has answered the call for the needy," Celebration of Love President Tom Ramsey said.
Dell Diamond offered up the ball park for the event, allowing school districts such as Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Bastrop and more to partake in the Toys for Tots event at the same time.
