Hailed as Austin's best black tie event, Ballet Austin's Fete 2012 is set for Sept. 21 at the Driskill Hotel .  This year's event marks a milestone as Ballet Austin celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Nutcracker as well as the Driskill's celebration of its opening 125 years ago.

Ballet Austin's Fete and its companion event, fete*ish, open the Company's performance season where business leaders and art patrons mix, mingle, dine, dance and raise funds for Ballet Austin's community education programs, which serve more than 57,000 Central Texans each year.

With a limited 220 seats available and the festivities kicking off at 6 p.m., guests will enjoy Nutcracker-inspired custom cocktails and a signature multi-course themed dinner by The Driskill Hotel, as well as live entertainment and exclusive VIP access to the Ballet Barre & Lounge.

Later at 8 p.m., fete*ish turns up the volume and turns down the lights with exquisite morsels, Nutcracker-themed photo booths, and dancing with Grammy winner DJ Spinderella of Salt-N-Pepa headlining the event.
