How to properly use a flat iron

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Celebrity stylist Ron King, owner of Bo Salon, stopped by the KXAN studio to provide some hair straightening tips.

Ron provides the following advise when using a flat iron.

-Only run the iron through hair once
-Use extra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner
-For international travel, don't use an adaptor
-Use a thermal protector beforehand
-Don't buy an iron with metal plates
-Buy an iron with a temperature gage
