Book Spring 2010 read-a-thon

AUSTIN (KXAN) - BookSpring's Read-A-Thon is an annual event encouraging community service and promoting literacy in the Austin community.

Money raised by Read-A-Thon participants will benefit our literacy programs located in medical clinics, preschool centers, elementary schools, high schools and the home-based parenting programs of our nonprofit partners.

Through the Read-A-Thon, children experience the joy of reading and the pride of community service by raising money to put new books into the hands of children who need them most. Go to their Web site for more on this great event.
